Thue Huddersfield Health Innovation Incubator (HHII)
The Huddersfield Health Innovation Incubator (HHII) is a fully funded business support programme designed to help health, wellbeing and life sciences companies start, grow and scale in West Yorkshire. It supports pre‑startups, early‑stage ventures and growing SMEs that are developing innovative products, services or solutions aimed at improving health outcomes or health service delivery. The programme provides tailored business support and mentoring, helping companies strengthen their commercial models, navigate health systems, and move innovations closer to market.
Companies that join HHII also gain access to a strong innovation ecosystem, including collaboration opportunities with the University of Huddersfield, NHS partners and industry specialists. Members benefit from networking, knowledge‑sharing events, innovation and product development support, and flexible co‑working space across multiple Huddersfield locations. Membership is free for the first two years, making HHII a low‑risk, high‑value opportunity for businesses looking to connect, innovate and grow within the health and wellbeing sector.

Founder to Founder offer
See below an opportunity to work with a business on the AD:VENTURE programme, if you would like an introduction to discus her offer below please let me know
“Thrive in Mind is a clinician led workplace mental health business founded by myself Melanie Cox. I am a Consultant Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 25 years’ experience in mental health and I have built Thrive in Mind around something I feel strongly about, that workplace mental health needs to be proactive, preventative and evidence based, not just a quick fix once people are already struggling.
We offer digital resilience training, group sessions and psychologically informed support for workplaces, with a particular focus on helping employers support staff in a meaningful and practical way.
What I need now is someone who is strong at the front end of the business. Someone confident, good with people, able to build relationships, network, start conversations, send emails, make calls and help open doors that could lead to sales and partnerships, especially with SMEs and employers in Yorkshire.
At this stage it would need to be commission only because the business is still very early, but for the right person it is a chance to help shape something from the beginning, build their portfolio, earn from the business they bring in, and be part of something that has real purpose and could make a genuine difference to people’s lives.”
University of Huddersfield Research in Conversation.
As part of our Research in Conversation series, we will be hosting a focused session on Compassionate Leadership, exploring how compassionate approaches can enhance organisational culture, strengthen teams, and support effective leadership practice.
The discussion will be led by Dr Nicola Stenberg, in conversation with Helen Curtis, who together will examine the role of compassion in contemporary workplaces and its relevance to organisational wellbeing and performance.
Event details: 📅 Thursday 7 May ⏰ 8:30 – 10:00am 📍 3M Buckley Innovation Centre 💼 Free to attend
This will be a small, discussion based event, and places are intentionally limited to support meaningful engagement. If you would like to join us, please register via the link here .
