Battle Scars, a survivor-led charity providing specialist peer support to people affected by self-harm, has won the Empowerment and Voice Award at the Adversity, Trauma and Resilience Awards on 23 March 2026.

The award recognises the charity’s commitment to lived experience-led support, creating non-judgemental spaces where people feel understood and accepted, alongside extensive outreach and education to challenge the stigma around self-harm.
“We are honoured to receive the award and for our work to be recognised,” said Jenny Groves, Founder and CEO of Battle Scars. “We hope it encourages people who self-harm to reach out for support, because they’re not alone.”
