The Mayor of West Yorkshire Tracy Brabin has announced ‘The People’s Fund’ to tackle serious violence where local groups and organisations can bid for a share of £500,000, empowering local communities to deliver solutions that they know will make the biggest impact.
The People’s Fund is part of the Mayor’s ongoing work to create a co-produced serious violence strategy for the region.
It will see up to £100,000 made available for each district and allows local groups and organisations to bid up to £10,000. The successful projects will then be decided upon by local residents.
Please note, the fund closes at midnight on Friday 6th February.
Details on The People’s Fund, how to apply by completing an Expression of Interest form and the Information Sheet can be found on the website here – https://www.westyorks-ca.gov.uk/policing-and-crime/communities/the-peoples-fund/.
