When we rebranded to Work, Rest or Play last year, it marked an exciting new chapter.
We’d outgrown our HD8 beginnings and stepped into a bigger, bolder, community-driven vision—one built to support people, businesses and organisations across West Yorkshire, with clear ambitions to grow even further. The new name reflects everyday life and everything our platform supports: where we work, how we relax, and how we connect locally.
And now, heading into 2026, the momentum is real.
Our mission hasn’t changed: to strengthen communities by boosting local connections, visibility and opportunity.
What has changed is the scale of what we’re ready to build.
We’re creating a platform that’s scalable, flexible and rooted in local pride—one that can support communities across West and South Yorkshire, and eventually beyond.
To get there, though, we need to grow beyond our existing team.
There are only so many conversations we can have on our own, which is why we’ve launched a Refer a Friend scheme and are actively looking for appointment setters and sales people to help spread the word.
