Pennine Garden Centre has unveiled its 2026 Christmas programme, introducing a brand-new ‘Tea with Santa’ experience alongside the return of its traditional Santa’s Grotto, festive dining, and seasonal shopping events for families across Huddersfield and the wider Kirklees region.
Family Santa Experiences
Pennine Garden Centre will host Tea with Santa on Saturday, 12 December, Thursday, 17 December and Saturday, 19 December 2026.
The experience costs £20.95 per child and includes a small Christmas dinner of roast turkey, a pig in blanket, roast potatoes, carrots, peas and gravy, with squash to drink. Each child will also receive a Christmas cracker and toy, as well as a visit from Santa.
Adult tickets cost £14.95 and include a turkey carvery bap with gravy and chips, accompanied by tea or filter coffee. Standard and vegetarian options are available and should be selected when booking.

Mark Farnsworth, Managing Director of Yorkshire Garden Centres, said: “Introducing Tea with Santa gives local families more flexibility beyond a traditional Grotto visit. Combined with our VIP shopping evening and classic Christmas supper, Pennine has a varied Christmas programme that visitors of all ages can enjoy this season.”
Festive Shopping Events
The centre will also host a limited-capacity ‘Jingle & Mingle’ VIP Shopping Evening on Wednesday, 11 November 2026. Tickets cost £10 per person and include an evening of crowd-free browsing, a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival (non-alcoholic alternative available), pop-up festive demonstrations, live performances, and a gift tote bag worth over £20.
Seasonal Dining & Entertainment
Throughout the holiday season, Pennine Garden Centre will serve festive afternoon teas and classic three-course Christmas suppers on selected dates. Diners will be entertained by live vintage singers performing classic Christmas favourites.
Across Yorkshire
Families looking for a larger festive day out can also visit Tingley Garden Centre, where an expanded Winter Light Trail will return alongside an undercover ice rink. A new trail-only ticket, priced from £4.95 for children and from £9.95 for adults, will allow visitors to enjoy the illuminated experience without booking an ice-skating session. Tingley will also host a Winter Food Market in partnership, offering a range of seasonal food and drink.
