Focus4Hope

We are a community-focused charity based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, dedicated to supporting local people who are vulnerable, isolated or facing difficult circumstances. Founded in 2016 and becoming a registered charity in 2020, Focus4Hope has grown from a small community initiative into a charity supporting people across Brighouse, Calderdale and the wider West Yorkshire area.
At the heart of Focus4Hope is a simple aim: to make sure that anyone who needs help feels supported, valued and never alone. The charity takes a holistic approach, offering practical help, friendship, activities and guidance to people at times when they need it most.

We support a wide range of people, including older and isolated adults, families experiencing financial hardship, people experiencing homelessness, individuals affected by domestic abuse and others who may be struggling with the rising cost of living.

The charity provides a Food Club/social supermarket, helping people access good-quality, affordable food while also providing opportunities to access further advice and support. Our Hub4Hope provides a welcoming community space where people can access information, guidance, activities and support. We also works to combat loneliness and isolation among older people through social activities, events, day trips, afternoon teas and other opportunities to bring people together.

Beyond the local community, we provide regular outreach to people experiencing homelessness, including hot meals, drinks and essential supplies. The charity supports people affected by domestic abuse and works with other organisations to help individuals access accommodation, food, clothing, benefits advice and other essential support.

A huge part of Focus4Hope is our volunteers, supporters and local partners. Together, they help create a welcoming community where people can connect with others, access support and regain a sense of dignity, confidence and hope.
