Feted with various awards for the quality and impact of my support to charities, social enterprises, and businesses of all types, I support people and groups to understand and navigate the landscapes and processes between where they are now and where they want to be in the future.
This covers topics such as finance, governance, business models and legal structures, creating and reporting impact, etc – but delivered in ways that make them more ‘human’, and if not more enjoyable, then certainly less painful (for example, I use songs by Talking Heads to help people understand balance sheets that their accounts give them!).
I’m also a keen proponent of “why would you do it if I don’t?” – so annually publish a ‘warts and all’ impact report on myself every year which is mapped to the UN’s Sustainable Global Development Goals; support business networks and groups in a pro bono capacity; and regularly investment in my own CPD in ways which are applauded by national skills bodies.
