  1. About this Policy
This Policy explains how Work Rest or Play Ltd (“Work Rest or Play”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies, pixels and similar tracking technologies on workrestorplay.co.uk (the Website). It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.
For privacy queries, contact: contact@workrestorplay.co.uk (postal address in the Privacy Notice).
The information in this policy, together with our Privacy Policy demonstrates our compliance with the UK GDPR which includes the Data Protection Act 2018, Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation (PECR) and Data Use and Access Act 2025.
  2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work, improve security and performance, remember preferences and measure usage. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, SDKs and local storage (such technologies are often saved in the browser on the device). Some cookies are set by us (first‑party), others by third parties providing services to us (third‑party).
  3. Your choices and consent
When you first visit the Website, a banner asks you to accept or reject non‑essential cookies. You can:
    • Accept all cookies;
    • Reject non‑essential cookies; or
    • Manage individual categories.
You can update your choices any time via the banner link in the Website footer or through your browser settings. If you block or delete cookies, some features may not work as intended. We will not set non‑essential cookies unless and until you give consent (as required by UK GDPR).
  4. Categories of cookies we use
    • Strictly necessary – required for core site functions (security, network management, payments, form submission). These cannot be switched off in our systems.
    • Performance/analytics – help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
    • Functionality – remember choices (e.g., preferences) to provide enhanced features.
    • Advertising/embedded content – used when we embed third‑party content (e.g., YouTube) or measure campaigns. These may track your activity across websites.
  5. Cookies and similar technologies in use
The services below are present on or referenced by the Website. The exact cookies set can vary by page and over time. Your banner will always show the current list.
    5.1 Essential (strictly necessary)
Stripe (payments): session and fraud‑prevention cookies that enable card processing and help detect abuse (e.g., _stripe_sid, _stripe_mid, m).
Security & platform: session identifiers and Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection tokens used by our Content Management System/hosting and forms (e.g., session ID, CSRF token), and by our support/chat platform (Zoho) to ensure requests come from you.
    5.2 Performance/analytics
Google Analytics: anonymous identifiers for measuring usage (e.g., _ga, _gid, _gat). We use IP‑anonymisation where offered and respect your consent choices.
    5.3 Functionality & support
Zoho Desk/Chat/Bookings (our help centre, chat and booking pages): cookies that maintain session state, secure log‑ins and associate repeated visits (examples include _zcsr_tmp, crmcsr, _zldp, _zldt, and service‑specific session cookies).
    5.4 Advertising/embedded content
YouTube (embedded videos): cookies and local storage for player settings and to track views (e.g., YSC, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, CONSENT, yt-remote-*). When you interact with an embedded video, YouTube/Google may link activity to your Google account in line with their policies.
  6. Managing cookies
    You can control cookies via:

    • Browser settings: block or delete cookies instructions are available at: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (see vendor help pages).

Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as adequacy decisions or the UK Addendum/EU Standard Contractual Clauses) together with additional measures where appropriate. See our Privacy Notice for details.
  8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in technology, law or our services. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. The “Effective date” above shows when this Policy last changed.
