Each Week on Friday we head out to a new location across Kirklees.
Our walks are varying lengths and difficulty, we take the group with us at the slowest pace, even if that is to look at every stone or tree root along the way. Our usual pace is 0.5-1mph, but we have covered a good 4-5 miles on some weeks where we only had sling babies or confident walkers. Nappy changes, feeding and normal toddler behaviour are expected. Look out for walks that say “Pram Friendly” or bring or borrow a sling/baby carrier.
We offer far more than ‘just a walk’ our walks are good for you both physically and mentally. We take time to discuss parenting topics, alleviate stress and introduce calm. Our years of parenting, and professional knowledge helps us deliver a unique service that promotes well-being, strengthens bonding and development of young minds, connecting you and them to the natural world around you and creating a sense of connection and ownership.
Dress for the weather, bring snacks and a drink, and let’s take a walk. First walk is only £1, we have a variety of baby slings and carriers, waterproof covers and umbrella’s. Some weeks we try the local cafe for lunch or cake after the walk to support local businesses.
We will teach you and your baby about a nature-based topic of the week, include ideas for you to play at home, and a guided meditation designed to help you relax, even with the noise and chaos that children bring.
